What Is the Commissioning (Cx) Process?

According to the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) Guideline 0-2005-2019, commissioning is a quality-focused process for enhancing the delivery of a construction project. It involves verifying and documenting that a facility and its systems and assemblies are planned, designed, installed, tested, operated and maintained in a way that meets the Owner’s Project Requirements (OPR).
